Keyboard vs Guitar #3

@Eeshan : See...my objective in "my" prev post was not to start a war or battle. It was just to help everybody realize that the sound of piano cannot be neglected just for the coolness of the guitar. I totally agree to your point that an instrument cannot compete with others, but i have got a few people reading my blog posts who have claimed that a guitar is anyday better than the piano and one doesn't need a keyboardist in a rock band. That was my answer to all of 'em.

Keyboard vs Guitar

Which one is it?
Which one of 'em makes listening to music more pleasant? Is it the strumming sound of the guitar or is it the soothing melody of the piano keys?
True, that rock music mainly means the grunging sound of the electric guitar with the strumming of the orthodox acoustic guitar but...doesn't the sweet sound of piano make it all the more better? Well, to some like me, yes it does..but to most of the youth today...sadly, it doesn't. They think rock music starts and ends with guitar, bass and drums...nothing else.
People need to be rekindled that music was first made and heard on pianos only. Beethoven, Mozart...every founder and developer of music did it through the black and white keys.
And I am not saying it because I am a keyboard player myself...I am saying it because I am a MUSIC lover...not only a rock lover.
If you don't agree with me, try listening to music unbiased..and you will start agreeing with me.

Virender Sehwag - 319!!!!!

What a knock! Twenty20 style batting in Test Cricket! But...was it good enough to get the hype its receiving? One look at the track, i.e. pitch, and another look at the South African bowling that day is enough to tell you that it isn't. It was a good exhibition of the prowess of Viru but I am afraid to say, it wasn't as good a batting exhibition as it was made to look. Had Dale Steyn bowled the kind of deliveries that day like he bowled the next day, Virender Sehwag might not have crossed 100-150. His dismissal in the first innings of the second test just proves it. Give him good tracks and he isn't half as consistent as his averages show him to be. His test average of 53 is due to the huge knocks in Multan (309) , on a Lahore pitch(254) on which maybe Ashish Nehra would have made a few runs & on a flat Chepauk track (319). The newspapers said neither Sachin Tendulkar nor Sunil Gavaskar had as good an average as Sehwag has after 92 innings. I salute their audacity!!!! Somebody please go tell those idiots that when Sachin was playing his first 50-60 tests, there wasn't a concept of "flat" tracks. There were quite a few tracks which were good for batting, but no pitch was as flat and dead as the tracks on which Sehwag has made those huge scores. I don't think I need to go to Sunil Gavaskar's era where every pitch was either bouncy or had lots of turn. I think, after this knock, Sehwag would play for at least 10-12 more tests even if he scores 0 in every innings. That's how Indian cricket runs.
Unfortunate...but true.

Done and Dusted!!!!!!

Boards. Wearing the school uniform. Representing the school.
With an absolutely awesome exam came the end of my schooling life. Sob...never will I be able to get back again. I will miss all of it, especially representing my school.
But a few words about my C++ exam. Fantastic is the word. So far, no mistake has been found and god-willing, none will be found henceforth. A 100 will be a perfect answer to a certain Mrs Shally Arora, our 'honourable' teacher who commented, "Sarthak, you will never be able to get gud marks in C++". With me being sure of a 95+, i think a good answer is in the offing. To be honest, I am content with my boards. I mean, after a 40% 3 months back, I am expecting 85%. I give myself a pat on the back.
Now starts the tough time. The time to show people what I've got. Time to demonstrate my mettle. I hope and pray that I will be successful.

Bored

Bored. Sick. Tired.
Those are the words which best describe me right now. Bloody hell! I am writing codes since 2 days and still not getting 'How to sort an array'!!!! Then there are 'Linked Lists' and 'Stacks n Queues'!!! These three things have absolutely got on my nerve. Add to it the atrocious quality of the book 'C++ by A.K.Sharma' . I mean, in the algorithm, a is supposed to be less than b...but in the code, b is supposed to be less than a! U refer to that book and u are screwed! I just hope the questions are easy. I cant wait fr 2mrw...i mean 31 days of boards is a bit too much.
